The Challenge Initiative, led by Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, builds on the Urban Reproductive Health Initiative to scale proven family planning interventions across urban areas globally. Operating through regional hubs in East Africa, Francophone West Africa, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Philippines, TCI focuses on coaching local governments to institutionalize high-impact practices for sustainability. The initiative emphasizes adolescent and youth sexual reproductive health alongside general family planning services.
